---|---|---|---|---|
1) | Filtration/Recirculation | Pool: | 15.4(1)b(2) | 8 |
Spa: | 15.51(1)a(4) | 8 | ||
Item: Filters and pumps shall have operating pressure gauges | ||||
Comment: Replace nonfunctional gauges on main pumps | ||||
2) | Water Quality | Pool: | 15.4(1)a | 8 |
Spa: | 15.51(1)a | 8 | ||
Item: A pool / spa filtration system shall be in working order and provide water clarity up to code standards, without leakage. | ||||
Comment: Fix or replace the pump in the spray feature enclosure with a significant, long term leak. | ||||
3) | Water Quality | Pool: | 15.4(3)a(1) | 12 |
Spa: | 15.51(3)a(1) | 12 | ||
Item: Equipment for continuous feed of chlorine, a chlorine compound or a bromine compound and/or equipment for the continuous feed of a chemical for pH adjustment to the swimming pool / spa shall be provided and shall be fully operational | ||||
Comment: Fix or replace the inaccurate BecSys3 system that continues sending it into a 'fail safe/locked' mode, which stops feeding chemicals. | ||||
4) | Safety | Pool: | 15.4(4)l(4) | 21 |
Item: If a wading pool is within 50 ft. of a swimming pool, the wading pool shall have a barrier at least 36 inches high separating it from the swimming pool, and shall have no openings that would allow the passage of a 4-inch sphere, and a self-closing, self-latching gate. | ||||
Comment: Ensure main gate to baby pool has a self closing, self latching gate. | ||||
5) | Safety | Pool: | 15.4(4)e | 16 |
Item: For outdoor swimming pools at least one elevated lifeguard chair or station shall be provided for a swimming pool with a water surface area of 2000 to 4000 sq. ft. inclusive; at least two chairs shall be provided if the area is 4001 to 6000 sq. ft.; and at least three chairs shall be provided if the area is 6001 sq. ft. or more. | ||||
Comment: Recommend that lifeguard chair stations are placed in proper areas for current zones, and in good repair. For example, one is placed in an area where the guard cannot see the water they are supposed to be monitoring behind them. Another chair is missing from its stand. Another one has areas on the surface that are peeling. | ||||
6) | Safety | Pool: | 15.4(4)h | 18 and 19 |
Item: All drains shall be VGB compliant and within their life expectancy date | ||||
Comment: VGB drain covers appear in good repair but did expire on 5/11/2024. Monitor these closely. Replace at any sign of disrepair, but no later than before opening for the 2025 outdoor pool season. | ||||
7) | Safety | Pool: | 15.4(4)b(4) | 13 |
Spa: | 15.51(4)b(2) | 13 | ||
Item: Stairs, ladder rungs, ramps, recessed steps, zero entry, and all pool floor surfaces shall be slip-resistant. | ||||
Comment: Zero entry and baby pool surfaces appear smooth. Recommend adding texture to make them more slip-resistant. | ||||
8) | Safety | Pool: | 15.4(4)d(5) | 16 |
Item: Each water slide shall have a minimum of two attendants, one stationed at the top of the slide and one at the bottom of the slide. | ||||
Comment: If this is not possible, the water slide shall be closed. Also, please note that your waterslide rules should be followed. Example: Minimum height is 42". Only one person goes down the slide at a time... | ||||
9) | Structure/Diving | Pool: | 15.4(4)o(2) | 23 |
Item: The internal surface of a flume shall be smooth and continuous for its entire length | ||||
