Notes: :
Chlorine is low in both pool and spa but within an acceptable range.
Manual tests for free chlorine and pH need to be done twice per day!
Combined chlorine is very high. Address lack of air exchange in pool area.

BE SURE TO GET A PERMIT FROM IDPH PRIOR TO UPDATING FEEDERS OR ANY EQUIPMENT.

Email a letter of correction to Diane within 30 days.

  Comment: For your size spa you should drain, clean and fill every 2 weeks. Be sure to document it.

  Item: A first-aid kit shall be equipped with: band-aids, sterile 4x4 bandage compress, self-adhering gauze bandage, disposable gloves, and a chemical cold press.

  Item: A thermometer shall be available to measure temperatures in the range of 80 degrees to 120 degrees. Spa shall be closed if the temperature is over 104 degrees F.
  Comment: Temp on heather is not accurate. Spa was at 106.7 upon arrival. COS. Keep an eye on this with manual tests.

  Item: Lifesaving equipment shall be mounted in conspicuous places around the swimming pool deck during normal operations
  Comment: Shepards crock is mounted amongst the exercise equipment. Please move to a conspicuous location.

These items must be corrected as soon as possible in order to comply with the Iowa Department of Public Health Swimming Pool and Spa Rules. A letter regarding the actions which will be taken in order to correct all deficiencies must be submitted within 30 days to this office. If for any reason you take issue with any of the items cited regarding swimming pool rules, a variance can be requested by following the instructions in the Iowa Department of Public Health Swimming Pools manual, amended July 8th, 2009, page 57, section 641-15.7 (135I). Variance requests regarding spa rules must be made in compliance with the instructions in the Iowa Department of Public Health Spa manual, revised July 8th, 2009, page 32, section 641-15.7 (135I).
