1) | Management/Personnel | Pool: | 15.4(4)h(1) | 18 |
Spa: | 15.51(4)f | 14 | ||
Item: Main drain and Safety Vacuum Release System documentation (VGB) with dates of installation must be kept in facility. Each SVRS shall be tested monthly and the test dates recorded
Comment: I know that these are within their lifespan, please just provide proof and keep it in your binders.
2) | Water Quality | Pool: | 15.4(2)a(1) | 9 |
Item: Pool water shall have a free chlorine residual of at least 1.0 ppm and no greater than 8.0 ppm, or a total bromine residual of at least 2.0 ppm and no greater than 18.0 ppm when pool is in use
Comment: Your chlorine level is at rock bottom of where it can be and still be open. I recommend increasing the set point for the ORP to ensure that chlorine levels do not dip lower than 0.6ppm and train the staff on the above and below ‘normal’ levels that require closure.
3) | Marking | Pool: | 15.4(4)i(3) | 19 |
Item: The boundary between shallow and deep water shall be marked by a float line with floats spaced no more than 5 ft. apart
Comment: As discussed, please replace float line between the shallow and deep water area.
4) | Safety | Pool: | 15.4(4)n(2)1 | 23 |
Item: Chlorine gas and CO2 cylinders shall be individually anchored with safety chains or straps, and stored in a housed room during pool operation season.
Comment: Please ensure tanks are secured with chains.
5) | Safety | Pool: | 15.4(4)n(2)2 | 23 |
Item: Storage space shall be provided so that chlorine cylinders are not subject to direct sunlight
Comment: This could be why the chlorine levels are low. Let's discuss this, please.
