  Item: "Pool Rules" signage incorrectly posted. Rules sign shall include No diving in shallow end, No horseplay, and No running on deck. Post conspicuously at a minimum of 2 locations within the swimming pool enclosure.
  Comment: Pool did not have 2 sets of pool rules sings posted inside the perimeter of the fence.
   
2) Marking Pool: 15.4(4)j(1) 20
  Item: Depth Markers shall be painted or otherwise marked on the deck within 3 ft. of the edge of the swimming pool
   
3) Marking Pool: 15.4(4)j(2) 20
  Item: Depth Markers shall be located at 1-ft depth intervals, but not more than 25 ft. apart measured between the centers of the depth markers around the area of a swimming pool which has a water depth of 5 ft. or less
  Comment: Pool was repainted in the off-season. Facility did not have depth markers on pool at time of inspection.
   
4) Safety Spa: 15.51(4)b(4) 13
  Item: Ladders and handrails shall have no exposed sharp edges.
  Comment: pool stair handrails and laddres do not have escutcheon plates in place creating a sharp edge.

These items must be corrected as soon as possible in order to comply with the Iowa Department of Public Health Swimming Pool and Spa Rules. A letter regarding the actions which will be taken in order to correct all deficiencies must be submitted within 30 days to this office. If for any reason you take issue with any of the items cited regarding swimming pool rules, a variance can be requested by following the instructions in the Iowa Department of Public Health Swimming Pools manual, amended July 8th, 2009, page 57, section 641-15.7 (135I). Variance requests regarding spa rules must be made in compliance with the instructions in the Iowa Department of Public Health Spa manual, revised July 8th, 2009, page 32, section 641-15.7 (135I).
