  Comment: Missing several pH and free chlorine records. pH and free chlorine must be tested every 4 hours for pool, every 2 hours for spa. Pool/spa shall be tested each day within one-half hour of the pool/spa opening time. Pool/spa water shall be tested manually for pH and free chlorine at least twice per day.

  Item: A thermometer shall be available to measure temperatures in the range of 80 degrees to 120 degrees. Spa shall be closed if the temperature is over 104 degrees F.
  Comment: Spa temperature was tested 105.7*F. Closed due to temperature is over 104*F. Adjusted water heater at time of inspection. Water temperature dropped to 104*F, and allow to re-open. Must provide a thermometer to measure water temperature.

These items must be corrected as soon as possible in order to comply with the Iowa Department of Public Health Swimming Pool and Spa Rules. A letter regarding the actions which will be taken in order to correct all deficiencies must be submitted within 30 days to this office. If for any reason you take issue with any of the items cited regarding swimming pool rules, a variance can be requested by following the instructions in the Iowa Department of Public Health Swimming Pools manual, amended July 8th, 2009, page 57, section 641-15.7 (135I). Variance requests regarding spa rules must be made in compliance with the instructions in the Iowa Department of Public Health Spa manual, revised July 8th, 2009, page 32, section 641-15.7 (135I).
